May 30th Match at Skyline

Time and Location: 5.00 p.m., Skyline sport and health club
Position: Singles #1
- Reached skyline like 2 mins before the match, was cursing myself all the way for starting so late...as usual :(
- But got of to a really good start and won the first set 6-0, at times like these I imagine myself to to be like Roger Federer...I know you laugh but still
- Not just that, I went up 5-0 in the second set --was just 5 points away from a 6-0 6-0 victory, started thinking about how if I win 6-0, 6-0-- my chances of being bumped up to 3.5 would increase etc. Thats when I double faulted, handed over a game to my opponent and started playing like a 2.5 player as opposed to a good solid 3.0 player...I lost 3 games in row! went down 5-3
- anyways I asked my nervous mind to stay calm -- just put the ball back in court--...finally.... I finished the match 6-0,6-3.....phew yay yay!
ps: later I learnt my opponent was 51 years of age--- wow-- at that age I would be just happy if I can run around, leaving alone playing singles!
